Why Do You Miss People Who Were Not Good for You? - Genesis 19:15–26 and Philippians 3:13–14

Why do you sometimes miss people you know you are better off without? Why does your mind remember the good moments while conveniently forgetting the reasons you had to leave? In Genesis 19, as Lot and his family were escaping Sodom, Lot's wife looked back despite being warned not to. She was physically leaving a place that was about to be destroyed, but her heart appeared to remain attached to what she was leaving behind. Her story offers a powerful reflection on attachment, nostalgia and the difficulty of letting go. Sometimes, we miss people not because they were good for us, but because they were familiar. We remember their affection, conversations and happy moments while overlooking the pain, disrespect or unhealthy patterns that came with the relationship. Missing someone does not automatically mean you should return to them. Sometimes, you are grieving the memories, the version of that person you hoped they would become, or the future you imagined together. OUR NEW SERIES : A GIFT FROM GOD Discover…

Your Reputation Shouldn't Be Better Than Your Character Scripture - Matthew 23:27–28

This challenges the difference between looking good and actually becoming good. It is possible to build a reputation around kindness, honesty, generosity or spirituality while privately behaving in ways that contradict those values. Social media makes this even easier. People can carefully manage what others see, displaying generosity without compassion, religious knowledge without humility, and public kindness without private integrity. But character is not what people applaud you for. It is who you are when there is no audience, no recognition and no reward. You Shouldn't Become Who/What You Condemn - Romans 2:1–3 and Matthew 7:1–5

Have you ever criticised someone for doing something, only to find yourself doing exactly the same thing years later? Sometimes, the behaviour we judge most harshly in others is the very weakness we fail to recognise in ourselves. In Romans 2:1–3, Paul challenges people who condemn others while practising the same things themselves. Similarly, in Matthew 7:1–5, Jesus uses the illustration of a person trying to remove a speck from another person's eye while having a plank in their own. Both passages expose the danger of self-righteousness. It is easy to recognise dishonesty, pride, irresponsibility or hypocrisy in someone else, but much harder to acknowledge those same tendencies in ourselves. Sometimes, life changes our circumstances, and we discover that the things we once judged are more complicated than we understood. Why Are We Scared Of The Unknown Worst Situations - Matthew 6:25–34 and Philippians 4:6–8.

Matthew 6:34 teaches that each day has its own trouble. Proverbs 3:5–6 encourages trust in God, while 1 Peter 5:7 reminds believers to cast their anxieties on Him. Take practical steps toward the problems you can address instead of mentally fighting every possible future. Not everything you fear will happen. Don't allow tomorrow's possibilities to steal today's peace. Reflection: Are you responding to what is actually happening, or are you suffering over things your mind has imagined?
